The time, she flies
2005-05-05 - 12:44 p.m. It's been a hard few months. Winter is always tough around these parts; lack of sunshine makes me go snakey. Also, I think the simple act of being able to walk outside in warmer weather without hunching my shoulders to keep warm makes me less stressed. Anyway, let's see if I can sum up what's new. I can't remember when I updated last or what I said, as my diary is offline due to diaryland's server problems, so I may repeat myself. * We survived St-Patrick's week -- barely. 6 gigs in four days, then 2 more four days later. We recorded most of them in the hopes of making a live CD, but I think only a few songs might make the cut. Fortunately we recorded gigs for the surrounding month, and may be able to cull a few from that. On March 31st I had laryngitis for the first time in my life and could not carry a tune or keep my voice from cracking. This certainly impressed some old friends of the family who came to see us for the first time. :-) * Eeniest (the baby) is doing well; she's 9 months old now and smiling, playing, laughing and generally entertaining us to bits. She has these big eyes that garner double-takes wherever we take her. Poli and I just look at her and shrug with disbelief that she's real. * Work has been painful -- lots of late nights and weekends, much to Poli's chagrin. The stress of supporting her, Eeniest, myself, Middlest and Eldest does not help me much either. Fortunately a lot of my deadlines have now passed, and I can take a moment to catch my breath and destress a bit. Hopefully this will also mean the skin on my hands will start growing back -- it seems that when I'm stressed, it peels away... (ew) Now let's see if my diary gets resurrected when I try to post this...
