I got off to a good productive start this weekend, but sputtered at the end.

Friday night Politika had asked that we see a movie with a gift certificate we have, but when we found that all the movies at the theatre in question sucked, we elected to simply dine at the local pub and walk home afterwards. The pub was full, so we went to the pizza resto across the street, where we ate surprisingly good steak and chicken. We also ran into Eric and Bruno, friends of Monstre and Poli's ex-husband.

We then went home and got laid (jello elbows and all), and watched a bit of our anthology video.

The next day was moving day from Poli's mom's. We pretty much spent the whole day packing Poli's things into boxes and stacking them in the living room. We don't have room for everything at my place, and I think it'd be better overall if we moved into a bigger place that we could each call our new home. But as I've mentioned, I ain't sure I can afford that.

We picked up Chinese takeout on the way home, put away most of the stuff we had elected to bring home, showered, and went to a party at cf's for his roomie. The latter had baked his own birthday cake; it didn't taste bad, but the icing looked like somebody had poured chunky butter milk all over the cake. We ate some anyway.

I was pretty beat after all the moving that day and didn't last long. Next day I did Poli's taxes and went to another one of those infernal Operatic Society board meetings. No wonder I had nightmares that night!
