Block yer ears, he's takin' out the 5-string!
2004-02-13 - 5:32 p.m.

Tonight I am going to attempt my first banjo practise.

Did I mention I got a banjo for Christmas? (Man, I really have been quiet, haven’t I?). Anyway, how cool is that, eh?

Poli has some studying to do, and I had to work late, thus annulling previously made plans we had, so after I get home and eat dinner, I’ll take out the banjo and see how far I get.

It has one less string than a guitar, so how hard can it be? ;-)

We dropped by Poli’s mom’s last night to give her an appreciation gift for helping Poli make the wedding dresses. Things went pretty smoothly, there were no fights and she was in a good mood. I have to write out some things here about her, but just haven’t had the time in the past couple of days.

Work just keeps getting busier and busier. Last night I worked at home until about 10pm. That’s not a good sign.

Tomorrow I’m back to recording for the original project. It has been far too neglected for far too long. But at least life’s getting back to normal now that the wedding’s over. Well, as normal as *my* life can be, anyway.

Oh, and I am *still* riled about Outkast getting all those accolades at the Grammys, btw. I was listening to Black-eyed peas today, and they have all the elements that should comprise a grammy award artist: melody, song structure, versatility and lyrics that make you think (at least in “Where is the love.”). But you know what? They broach a lot of left-wing topics: CIA as terrorists, a war fought for secret reasons, “something wrong with the world.” Awarding them a grammy wouldn’t be too politically cool for those in power right now, would it?

<bla bla>
